Bobbi L., Nov 30, 2008, 9:17PM ESTHi Matilda,
I'd love to be interviewed. I will certainly have to think about that topic. At the moment, I don't even know how I do it. I'll let it percolate until we talk or write, whichever you prefer. January is fine. Let me know when. Good to hear from you again. Bobbi -
Matilda B., Nov 30, 2008, 1:23PM ESTHi Bobbie:
I'm sure we are equally busy, so I won't spend much time apologizing for not being in touch more. I am doing a series of audio interviews with authors that are used in two ways: I post the audio on www.womensmemoirs.com under the title of Memoir Moment. I write up the interview for the blogging I do for Story Circle Network (once a month) and then in the blog direct people to the audio on my website.
I'd love to interview you and get something "in the can." (The younger generation probably has no idea what that means.) The interviews are quite brief 10 -15 minutes. The topic right now is "Opening Salvos." In other words, what approaches work well when starting a vignette or chapter. How does the writer hook the reader so that she will stay with the book.
If you are interested, we can talk more about this in private messages. I think a January interview would work for me.

Matilda B., Oct 26, 2008, 8:59PM EDTHi Bobbi:
I'd love to do something with your class. It could be a podcast, an audio, even a video. We can continue to talk about this.

PS I'm just back from Hawaii and still getting caught up with emails and work. -
Matilda B., Oct 7, 2008, 8:21PM EDTHi Bobbi:
My co-author and business partner and I have several websites with blogs. Because we work with clients as well as marketing our own products, we don't keep blog as often as we schedule. You can look at rosiesdaughters.com, womensmemoirs.com, and twowomenbusiness.com. One of our clients in the campaign for a new library in Gilroy and I do all the blogging on that site (under the catchy title of Admin). You can go there: library4gilroy.com
I see you are also in Silicon Valley. I'm sure we'll connect somewhere along the way.

Janet H., Aug 1, 2008, 8:53PM EDTPinging someone is just sending them a little message using the box Gather puts there for that purpose. No, pit bulls are not mean or vicious. Most of them are friendly and loyal and make excellent family pets. Mine is super friendly and I take him nearly everywhere I go that dogs are allowed. He goes to work with me once a week, walks in parades, goes to doggie play dates, goes to parks, shops in stores with me, etc. He loves everyone and doesn't hurt my cats at all. He especially loves children. Some evil people who use pit bulls for fighting have given them a bad reputation that they don't deserve.
